Volunteer Job Description:
Volunteers are needed to assist Children’s Services staff with the programs. The first group of volunteers will be assigned to set up and the first half of the program, and the second group of volunteers will be assigned for the last half of the program and take down. Volunteers must be comfortable with butterflies--seeing them, touching them, having them land on them, picking them up, etc., as volunteers will be helping to safeguard the butterflies, remove them from patrons, keep them from escaping, etc.
Please contact the library’s volunteer coordinator to set up a volunteer interview. An interview with a volunteer coordinator must be completed before volunteer work can begin. Please email volunteer@champaign.org or call (217) 403-2000, ext. 3 to schedule an interview.
